The Governor Mifflin Music Association and Erich Cawalla are excited to come together to produce "A Celebration of Governor Mifflin Music" at the newly-renovated Governor Mifflin Senior High Auditorium. Featured will be Governor Mifflin graduate Erich Cawalla and his All-Star Big Band with special guest Amy Banks. Also appearing will be the Governor Mifflin High School groups: the "Statesmen" and the "Governors" jazz ensembles, as well as the Governor Mifflin Middle School "Diplomats" Jazz Ensemble. This show is presented as a Berks Jazz Fest-affiliated concert. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit The Governor Mifflin Music Association. The Governor Mifflin Music Association (GMMA) is a registered non-profit organization supporting all music programming for grades K-12 in the Governor Mifflin School District (GMSD). GMMA lends all possible support, cooperation, and resources to the music department of GMSD through fundraising and promoting an enthusiastic public interest in all music programming within the district. The PA Jazz Alliance and The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board present the exciting All-Star Montco 17-piece jazz orchestra that will take you on a holiday journey transporting you back to Big Band Era with Tchaikovsky's celebrated Nutcracker Suite as arranged by Milton “Shorty” Rogers and Duke Ellington. You’ll be dancing in your seat while experiencing that swinging brassy sound with clever insightful story narration by State Rep. Joe Ciresi and featured vocalist Amy Banks. Please also bring an unwrapped toy, as this show will be a toy drive! All toys will be donated to The Helping Hands Community Outreach Program – Holiday Project

The holiday is about to get a bit jazzier with this unique adaptation of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite, performed by the Emmy-nominated Scranton Jazz Festival Big Band. With big band arrangements of songs like “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy,” imagined by jazz legends Shorty Rogers and Duke Ellington, a 17-piece jazz orchestra adds some spice to these sweet seasonal favorites. Performed under the direction of Maestro Marko Marcinko, The Swingin’ Jazz Nutcracker Suite features narration by WGAL’s T.J. Springer and vocals by Amy Banks.

The All Star Montco Big Band with Amy Banks

The All-Star Montco Jazz Festival Big Band is a 16-piece jazz orchestra that features world-class jazz musicians that live in Montgomery County and the surrounding area. Under the direction of drummer/arranger Marko Marcinko, this large jazz ensemble performs classic big band arrangements as well as modern selections that play a monumental role in jazz history. On September 21st vocalist Amy Banks will join the band and pay tribute to the great jazz vocalist Ella Fitzgerald, "First Lady of Song”. With an exciting brassy sound, Montco Big Band will perform some of Ella’s classic hits such as: Cheek to Cheek, Caravan, and A Tisket- A Tasket, transporting you back to the days when big bands played weekly at the historic Pottstown Sunny Brook Ballroom.

Enjoy the intimate setting of Club 42 in the Atrium of The Ware Center. Amy Banks brings holiday cheer from across the decades with the thrilling Harrisburg Jazz Collective Big Band under the direction of Steve Rudolph. Holiday attire is encouraged for this festive concert celebration. Doors open at 6:30 P.M. Reserved table-seating, cash bar.

The World Surgical Foundation will hold its 25th Anniversary Gala on the afternoon of Sunday, September 25th at the Scottish Rite Theatre in Harrisburg, PA celebrating 25 Years of Saving Lives and Changing Lives. The event will feature Steve Rudolph & Amy Banks with the Harrisburg Jazz Collective.

A VIP Reception will be held at 1:30 PM with heavy hors d’oeuvres catered by The JDK Group and complimentary beer from Pizza Boy Brewing Co., wine, and soft drinks. Andrea Britton will be performing at the reception for your entertainment. Come mix and mingle with Steve Rudolph and Amy Banks before the concert.

The jazz performance will begin at 3 PM. Tickets for the concert only are $50. The VIP Reception is $150 and includes admission to the concert. A VIP Couples Package is available for $250.
